Polyamino Polyether Methylene Phosphonic Acid (PAPEMP)

Polyamino Polyether Methylene Phosphonic Acid (PAPEMP)

Appearance: Pale yellow to yellow transparent liquid (common effective content ≥40%)

PAPEMP is a high-end phosphonic acid scale inhibitor with scale inhibition capabilities far superior to ATMP and HEDP, especially suitable for harsh water conditions such as high hardness, high alkalinity, high salinity, and high temperature.

I. Core Scale Inhibition Advantages

Broad-spectrum scale inhibition, controlling all types of scale

It has a strong inhibitory effect on calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, strontium sulfate, silicate scale, and magnesium silicate scale; Ordinary phosphonic acids are basically ineffective against silica and barium strontium scale, while PAPEMP specifically treats insoluble scale.

Tolerance to extreme water conditions

Tolerant of high hardness, high alkalinity, high pH, high salinity, and high temperature conditions; Ordinary HEDP/ATMP is easily degraded and ineffective under high alkalinity and high hardness conditions, while PAPEMP has strong stability, is not easily hydrolyzed, and is not easily oxidized by chlorine.

Strong threshold effect, low dosage yields excellent results. Extremely low dosage achieves excellent scale inhibition, offering high cost-effectiveness. Simultaneously, it has a triple effect of lattice distortion, dispersion, and chelation, preventing crystal growth and adhesion to pipe walls.

Combines corrosion inhibition and dispersion. Not only inhibits scale, but also inhibits corrosion of carbon steel and copper.

It disperses iron oxide, sludge, and suspended solids, preventing scale deposition.

II. Applicable Scenarios (Optimal Performance)

Power plants, steel mills, chemical plants with high-concentration circulating cooling water

Specifically for reverse osmosis (RO) membrane systems

Oilfield water injection, formation scale prevention (high-incidence barium and strontium scale scenarios)

High alkalinity, high groundwater, and high mineralization circulating water

III. Key Usage Points

Standard dosage: 5–20 mg/L

Excellent compatibility with polycarboxylic acid, bactericides, and corrosion inhibitors; can be used in combination.

Non-degradable, suitable for long-term stable operation of industrial closed and open circulating water systems.
